Fix Common Task Issues

Fix common Rio task issues: duplicate tasks, tasks missing from Today, wrong dates, and tasks that landed in the wrong area.

Something look off? Most task surprises in Rio have a one-line explanation - and a one-line fix.

I See Two Copies of the Same Task

This usually happens when a task was created again instead of updated. To avoid it, say move, rename, or push when you want an existing task changed - Rio updates it rather than creating a new one.

Already duplicated? Delete one copy: "Delete the duplicate report task."

My Task Went to Inbox (Not My Area)

That's expected - Inbox is the default area. It happens when the task was created from the timeline, or no area was mentioned. Open the task and move it, or say: "Move the groceries task to Home."

The Task Is in the Wrong Area

Move it - from the task's area settings, or by chat: "Move my project task to Education." Existing details, dates, and reminders stay intact.

The Date or Time Is Wrong

Open the task and fix it, or tell Rio: "Reschedule the client call to 4pm tomorrow." If you said "next Friday" and Rio picked a different one, just say which day you meant - Rio adjusts.

Rio Asked Me a Question Instead of Doing It

That's Rio avoiding a mistake. When a request could mean two things, it asks once - answer briefly and it goes ahead.

My New Task Isn't Showing Where I Expected

Check the Inbox first - unassigned tasks land there. Also check the date: a task scheduled for a later day appears on that day's timeline, not today's. And check its status - only To do and In progress tasks stay on your active list; Done tasks move to your completed history.

Still stuck?

Describe the problem to Rio directly in chat - it can often find and fix the task for you.
